Pre Sales Question regarding .NET & Milonic compatibalit

Post by mikemalter »

I have a question about the Milonic menu’s interaction with .NET’s smartNavigation web page setting.

We have been using version 3 of the menu system at our company for the last few years, and when we bought it, we were not using .NET. We are in the process of converting our web applications over to .NET and want to continue using your menuing system and are willing to upgrade to a corporate license for version 5.

We have run into compatibility problems (what I call compatibility problems – could be user ignorance) between a very desirable feature that .NET offers and the version 3 and 5 menu system.

The problem we have is that if we turn smartNavigation on for any page, the menu is gone after the page posts back. We got a javascript error when using version 3, and after converting enough of our menu system to version 5 so we could test, we get the same problem as well. Only this time there is no javascript error, but the menu is still gone.

We really want to continue using this menu system and are ready to do a corporate upgrade to version 5. Is there any pre-sales assistance we can get to resolve this issue? I spoke with our Director of Technology last night and he has approved the purchase so long as we resolve this problem.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Hi,
Someone may answer the question here, someone who knows something about .net. If you don't get a response in a reasonable time, you can try this link to contact Milonic about pre-sales questions

Well, I'm biased, but I think this is the greatest menu out there. And, I don't work for Milonic. We are just volunteers here.

I do know that the menu is used with .net. There have been questions about this or that with a .net use.

Just to recap - The support forum is normally for free questions.

There is a full on tech support system at http://milonic.com/support but you need to have a paid support to ask questions through the support system.

However, you can still ask pre sales through the contact us page at http://milonic.com/contact.php

Hope this helps

VS.NET 2003 Milonic Menu Control

Post by thlucas »

Hi Mike,

I don't know if you're tracking this thread or not, but I saw your post and thought I would reply. I've created a VS.NET 2003 server control for the Milonic Menu. Check out the following thread for details and sample code - scroll to the bottom of the thread for demo and code downloads:

Hope it helps,
