scrollbars

Post by milonicaam »

I trying out miloni's menu locally to see whether it meets our requirements and have a few issues around scrollbars on the flyouts.

1. In netscape I get horizontal and vertical scrolls. I would like it to give just the vertical scrolls and expand the flyout horizontally to see the full item.
In IE I get the desired behavior of the vertical scroll only.

2. In IE, I size the browser window such that I get the scrollbar. Then I expand the page. It detects that there is no scroll, but leaves a blank column on the right , where the scroll bar was.

3. Is it possible to get a just a vertical scoll, but on the left of the flyouts.

Thanks

Hi,
I don't know about the scroll bar on the left. I'm assuming here, because I'm not a programmer, but I think the scroll bars come from whatever the browser codes or programming is for scroll bars. I've never heard of being able to put them on the left.
I'm going to move this to the Help and Support for Version 5.

As to the vertical scroll bar in Netscape, I've seen some other posts on that. One thing to do is check your css and see if something there is causing it, like padding, margins etc. What I do is remove my style sheet and see if the behavior is still there. We'd really need to see your page with the menu on it to see what's happening, a css conflict, some code on the page conflict.

scrollbars

I am not using any css , padding nor margins for the milonic navbar.

It seems that in IE the navbar doesnot refresh after I increase the page size.
So the scrollbar doesnot show up but the space for the scrollbar remains.

Haven't found anything yet, other than the fact it appears to work OK in Firefox.

Hi,
I just checked it, and I've reported it. For some reason, in Netscape it is assuming the scrollbar on the right up/down is part of the width of the menu, instead of adding it in addition to the menu, that's why the bottom scroll bar appears and no matter what you do it stays there. I'm sure it will be fixed in the next update.

Tis fixed for the next update.

Just frantically going through my emails and other stuff so once I'm happy there's nothing left to do I'll post it up (version 5.716)

Pre release is up if you want to have a peek: http://milonic.com/menuvinfo.php

Cheers,

Andy did post 5.716, so there's no pre-release at this time. This one should fix your problem.
