Thanks Ruth. In the interim I went and got another license and was waiting for refresher instructions [I mean I recall overwriting a single file in the old days of 3.0 but I forgot about 5.0 since it has 3 files before unzipping. I'll go look at the readme. /mfurf

Actually, since the last version you had was RC11, I think you might find some other changes in there as well. There were some minor syntax changes to the _data statements and a few other things right around that time frame. As you mentioned, check the read-me and install files to be sure.

Hi mfurf,

Welcome back.

Each time you update, you have to upload new copies milonic_src.js, mmenudom.js, and mmenuns4.js.

Cheers,

How does one get the "free" license?

Post by Halobox »

Hello,

How do I order the "free" license? http://www.milonic.co.uk/nplicense.php and http://milonic.com/nplicense.php don't seem to be working.

Did this process get pulled? I'd like to get a license for my personal site. I'll likely pay for another license for my wife's ecommerce site.

Thanks

That is an invalid link (milonic.co.uk is no more).

See http://milonic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3791 for a discussion on this, especially the response from Andy.

Also see the statement in the middle of http://milonic.com/.

Got it

Ok thanks John. It's just confusing because there is a variety of information on the subject and I just wanted to make sure I was playing in the rules.

You're welcome, and you're also correct. It is confusing (even for us!), and right now is still changing. Part of the problem is the abuse of the free system, and some users who out and out steal the code and make it look as if is their own. Quite understandably, Andy reacts to these situations while still trying to retain the fairness for which he is known.

Thanks for caring enough to ask!
