Your Dream come true... IE/FireFox/Opera problems

Post by iLuke »

Hello folks... I have a support license, but figured that asking here would probably be more helpful to me and less work on the kind folks at Milonic...

Here's the new site I'm working on: http://www.joyintheharvest.com/v4 (version four remake).

Works as expected in Opera 7 and FireFox .8, but IE has some serious positioning problems for the sub menu. I've been working on this for abotu a week now and am exahusted of looking -- anyone have any ideas?

Much appriciated!

First, you seriously need to upgrade! You're running RC9 (ouch), and we went to RC50 and then released v5.0 Final! Rough guess, since there was often more than one release per RC number, is you're well over 75 versions down.

Get up to date, READ the files included in the download (many things are now different), check your _data syntax carefully against the sample file included (there were changes there as well), see http://milonic.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2981 for some important additional reading material, and then come back if you need further help.

Thanks for the tips! I'll get started reading the documentation on the page you posted. I'll be back if I have any more troubles (with the menu, that is!)

Okie dokie, I've re-read much of the documentation (everything but the license which I've obviously already agreed to ;)), I do not recall having heard of/read about/otherwise been aware of "RC9" or "RC50". Can you provide some links so I can read up on it (and how to update)?

I tried what seemed to be a viable solution (Mac IE Trouble in the FAQ), but still no-go.

Perhaps some of my menu problems will go-away when I upgrade to RC50 (since I don't know what it is, it's hard for me to say ).

Oh, yes, the menu was built by the version 3 to version 5 converter with a few tweaks (eg: I completely changed the color scheem since version 3).

Anyway, your help is much appriciated!

PS: I'm doing all my work on a local copy, I can upload the updates if you would like to track my progress. Just say the word!

Did a bit more reading through the previously posted bugs and figured out where to update the RC...

The combination of the Mac IE and the RC update seems to agree with Internet Explorer.

Thanks for the leads!

Mucho gracious, asante sana, merci and all that good stuff!

Note that "RC" no longer exists. We are finally - final (v5.01 as of this morning).

Glad things are coming along. Let us know if you need any more help.
