Tooltips and Mozilla 1.6

I have noticed that if I use a tooltip:

onfunction=showtip('Your Text Here')

with Mozilla, that as soon as the tooltip is displayed, the menu closes up. Menu items without tooltips are fine. It works okay in IE.

Any ideas ?? (this occurs on the Milonic site. amd my test site, so it doesn't look like I have messed up.
