Drop-down menus no longer drop-down after upgrade

Post by timrivera »

I am currently using Version 5.48. I just downloaded Version 5.728, and uploaded the src, dom, and ns4 files. When I reloaded the website, the menu appeared, but none of the drop-down menus would drop down. I had to revert to the Version 5.48 files. What could be causing this problem?

Oh, I realized that IE gives an error message:

Line: 21
Char: 16386
Error: '_mi[...].0' is null or not an object
Code: 0

Are you using any add-on modules with the menu. If so, they may need updating as well.

Let us have a URL and we'll be able to see for sure.

Cheers,

No, just the four JS files. As I said, I had to revert to the 5.48 files in order for the menu to work properly, but the website is www.fallenheroesmemorial.com

BTW, I noticed that my free license has expired, and that I'd have to pay US $46.65 to renew. This is getting off topic, but shouldn't a free license be free to renew?

Hi,

I've just tried a copy of your website with the latest version and it worked fine.

Only thing I can think of is that the code files either got corrupted or didn't all get upgraded properly. Try it again and see if that works

With regard to licensing, send licensing at milonic an email and they will renew it for you.

Cheers,
Andy

I just downloaded the 5.728 files from the Milonic website again and uploaded to my website, but the drop-down menus still do not display.

Hmmm, this seems to be happening a lot lately.

Try downloading the files again and see if that helps.

Also, 5.729 has gone full release now so might also help to grab the latest version.

Hope this helps,
Andy

I uploaded the 5.729 files to the test page and the drop-down menus now work, but now the Milonic link has taken over the first link of the menu. I guess I'll try to get my free license renewed and see if that solves the issue.

Hi Tim,

You will need to get the license renewed but you will also have to put a text link to Milonic on all the pages that use the Milonic menu and that first Milonic will disappear from the menu. I really like your site. Thank you so much for the memorial for our wonderful servicemen.
