For some reason I can't fathom, the forced link has stopped working on one of my pages and I'm getting the Milonic instead of Home in the menu. I'm using 5.831.
The page is http://www.peterwade.com/colossians/index.html
Other pages using the same code in the footer are still working, e.g. http://peterwade.com/principles/index.html
Thanks.
Forced link stopped working
Re: Forced link stopped working
Hi,
This looks like it might be an Internet speed issue. If the page takes too long to load the menu will detect a missing link to milonic.com and add the forced link even though it is on the page, it's just that it hasn't loaded yet.
What I can suggest is that you add the following to your HTML, just before the menu code in your HTML:
Hope this helps,
Andy

Re: Forced link stopped working
Thanks for the suggestion, Andy.
Even though I have Disable Cache selected in Firefox 3, it is still not working. This might be something for the programmers to put the checking mechanism earlier in the .js src file. I can watch it load and display Home and then see it change to Milonic. If the check came before display then perhaps this wouldn't happen.
As it stands now, it makes me uneasy about its realiability.
Thanks,
Peter

Re: Forced link stopped working
You could always buy a Pro license - that way the forced link will not become a problem and you also help support Milonic for future developments etc.
Re: Forced link stopped working
Yes, Andy, I had thought about that and in fact we'd probably qualify as a non-profit. However, we're now using the Milonic menu on only about 8 pages on our site since we moved most of the site to WordPress, so it doesn't seem worth the effort.
Cheers,
Peter
