Help, Please. Opera 6 won't take full menu, only smaller one

Please note that official support for this menu version has now ceased. There are still plenty of users, though, and the forum is still running. Some of our long-time users may be able to help you out.

Help, Please. Opera 6 won't take full menu, only smaller one

Post by Ruth »

Well, I finally found out why the menu is not working in opera 6 but have no idea how to fix it. I edited the menu array, putting one thing at a time in so I could find the error. It turns out that for some reason Opera 6 will only accept so much material. When I add another submenu after a certain point, Opera just refuses to work. It shows on the page, but it's just as if it's text typed in there. Nothing functions. Is there some fix for this? The menu version is 3.5.13. Here's the link but I think you need opera 6 to see the problem..unless it does it in later versions also. The first link is with the full menu, the second with the shorter version, leaving out a bunch of submenus.

LINKS REMOVED

Thanks for the help.

I tried it on Opera 7, and it works fine with a couple of quirky things. Maybe there is a memory ceiling on opera6 and the menu fills it. Why again, Ruth, aren't you going to v5?

I am trying to do the menu in version 5, I even have a question about 5 in the 5 forum, can't get the <.span to work for text rollover and I'm having trouble with image rollover, I can't find the equivalent of the swapimage code. We need an icon for duh, so I can use it when you point out the simple thing it is, rotfl.
