Add sound to menu?

Please note that official support for this menu version has now ceased. There are still plenty of users, though, and the forum is still running. Some of our long-time users may be able to help you out.

Is there any way to add a sound to the menu when mouse moves over it?

Yes - but this will be dependant on the browser.

You can use the embed HTML object and use a function to play the sound file.

Shows how to do it if you are running IE

Hi,

I take it this is version 3 of the menu? There's no help on this because this version is years out of date and most of us have no idea how things worked in it. I did a search and found this, so if you can figure it out from this, which seems to say the function needs to be on the page maybe it will work for you. I really suggest you update to the newest version of the menu, it is up to date with the changes in the internet and capabilities of browsers and it does so much more than 3. There is also a conversion tool to let you convert your menu_array file from 3 to 5 with very little editing needed once done.
