Dynamically add menu bar and submenu items

Hi All,

Is there any way to add a menu bar item and submenu items under the menu bar item? I just want to add an additional menubar item with a few options for logged in users without having to create another menu. I want to add the new manubar/submenu items on the client-side duirng ONLOAD event of the page. Or, is there a way to hide existing menubar/submenu items during ONLOAD?
