Background opacity in Firefox

Having problems with DHTML Menu? There is usually somebody here who knows the answer.

Background opacity in Firefox

I just upgraded from 5.0 RC39 (2004) to 5.779. Now, the opacity for the submenu only affects the text and not both the text and bkg color in Firefox (using onclass/offclass). Is this by design?
