Suggestion: Menu Download
In the beginners section you have a post Menu updates with a link to the menu download, but you forgot to tell that (as far as I know) you need an other download page when you are using a vertical menu.
Not really. This is simply a 'basic' menu that we use for downloading. However, you can do one of two things...
1. Modify the setting in this download to make it a vertical menu.
2. Download a different example from the DHTML Menu/DHTML Menu Samples menu on that page. Any example can be made to do anything just by changing the parameters.

Hi,
Sure you can, unless they have particular images that need to be horizontal.
In order to have a horizontal menu be vertical, either remove the orientation="horizontal"; this will put the menu back to the default which is vertical, or if you want to have the orientation noted then change it to orientation="vertical";
Except for design consideration when using images that were designed for a horizontal or vertical menu, you can make the orientation whatever you want.

For me that was the main reason to choose Milonic (That was before I discovered how great it was.)We're always here to help,
I read all the beginner files more then once (just did it again)we do expect our users to understand at least the basics of the system
The only thing is: I keep forgetting things.
It's a great menu and it's very easy to work with (I knew nothing about javascript before I discovered this menu) and you have to know very little to build a nice looking menu, but that makes that you will have a lot of problems finding out what is wrong, when something isn't working the way you think it should work.
(I do hope you'll understand my English )
Again: Thanks ALL of you.
There's a lot to this menu, so it's easy to forget things (I do, but I'm old, so I'm allowed to forget!).
Ruth is great for support - she always has the right answer.
Don't worry about Javascript - that's not what you're writing. The system happens to be written in JS, but you're just writing configuration statements to make it do what you want.
As for your English - no problems at all.
Now - go make a menu
