mailto in url doesn't work

I have the following code in my menu
aI("text=Comments;url=mailto:hrstaff@ori.org;fontweight=bold;oncolor=#FFFFCC;offcolor=#FFFFCC;offbgcolor=#003399;");

When I click on the menu item nothing happens. What can I do?
Email software is Outlook and browser is IE.

Can you post a URL? That code should work. In fact, I dropped it into one of my menus exactly as you have it and it does work.

I can post url's ok. What happens when you click on it? Does it open your email program?
