IE7 Beta2 zoom issue

Something strange happens in Internet Explorer 7 (Beta 2) when using the new zoom feature. The top level of the menu displays perfectly, but all the submenus are blurry. This happens even at as small a zoom as 105%. You might want to try IE7 on Milonic's own menu. It's fuzzy, but the font in my ...

Tooltips in Safari

Tooltips have a strange appearance in Safari (including the latest version of Safari, on Mac OS X V10.4). If you view your own Tooltips page ( http://www.milonic.com/tooltips.php ) on Safari, you will see what I mean. The borders of all the rectangular tooltips have a very weird shape.

The ...

Hi again. I realize I should have added the links that show what a page looks like with the older Milonic files and with the current Milonic files. The Hebrew and Arabic pages are identical except for these Milonic files.

February 2004 ( v 5 RC49 ) milonic_src.js, mmenudom.js, mmenu4.js ( without ...

UPDATE

I just tried this again with my earlier versions of milonic_src.js, mmenudom.js, and mmenu4.js --- one set from February 2004 and one from December 2004. (I save everything!) And the problem I describe DID NOT APPEAR . (I thought it was a new problem, but I wasn't positive.) But I don't ...

More about possible RTL bug in IE

In June, Amr Salem wrote about an RTL problem in Internet Explorer ("Important: Right to left web pages bug"). I now have the same problem. I am using version 5.728. I want to point out that I'm fairly sure that this problem did not exist in earlier versions of the menu. My license number is 198602 ...

I'm not sure this is entirely relevant, but I had a conversation (totally useless) in March with Norton tech support about a problem that was driving me insane. Here is the correspondence, which I include for its entertainment value:

Yes, the problem is the same on the Mac. (I've checked too.)

So until Opera comes up with a solution to what seems to be its own problem (DHTML + RTL incompatibility), I'll put a browser detect with alert (which will be translated) on my site: "Hi Opera User -- This website requires a different ...

Thank you very much for answering, Ruth. Unfortunately, tables don't seem to be the problem.

I created another page that has absolutely NOTHING on it except the menu itself (no tables, no div -- nothing whatsoever), and exactly the same thing occurs in Opera on XP.

Here is the entire source ...

Opera RTL (Hebrew & Arabic) submenu display problem

I have a horizontal menu that works beautifully in English and Hebrew on all major browsers (latest versions) on a PC (XP) and on a Mac (OS X) - EXCEPT Hebrew in Opera (7.53 - free version) on a PC (I haven't tried it on a Mac yet).

Problem: The submenus all display on the OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ...

Hi Ruth and Maz,

YOUR SUGGESTIONS WORKED! You are both so great!

So far I've implemented the the menuwith= and itemwidth= and it wasn't even painful, because I just copied all the numbers from Version 3 of the same Hebrew menu (which required that information).

I haven't done the other cleanup ...

Need help with Netscape 7.1 and RTL

The menus on my English site and my Hebrew site work perfectly in Internet Explorer 6. They work perfectly in English in Netscape 7.1 and 6.

On my Hebrew site, in Netscape 7.1 all the submenu text of every menu is aligned to the right of the PAGE , and all the submenu backgrounds stretch across ...

I figured it out myself (finally): a missing # before the color code!

(As usual, IE was forgiving, but Netscape was not.)

Problem in Netscape 7.1 with pagebgcolor (V5 RC26)

We are a non-profit organization with a Milonic license, now using Version 5 RC 26.

Everything works perfectly in IE6, but in Netscape 7.1 I have a problem with pagebgcolor . It works for the submenus and sub-submenus, but not for the main menu (which does not change color). I see that this does ...
