Bought License but "Milonic menu" keeps appearing

Post by TestUser »

What do I need to do to have the Milonic menu removed (I purchased 10 minutes ago a license)? Is there a file in which I need to submit the license number I received by email?

I purchased a license not 5 minutes ago - still get the Milonic link. I do have a link to Milonic in my "Credits" page http://www.richardcranswick.com/website ... redits.cfm so it's not like I haven't given a mention.

I'm using RC12 by the way.

Perhaps you need to give it a bit longer before the server verifies you? As this is a user forum, you may be better emailing Milonic directly.

Not something you want to be doing :!: I don't see any message with your name attached that says you purchased a license. Therefore, if you did not, you are in violation of the license terms and (speaking for myself and not for Milonic!) subject to legal action.

If you did buy a license, first - thank you. An e-mail will be coming with your license number, you will be added to the database, and the system will automatically recognize you and send the proper code.

Why not play by the rules, or have a little patience - whichever applies...

I have not purchased a license, yet. Until then, is it possible to move the Milonic Menu button to the end of the bar? I don't mind it being there until I get a license, but it will confuse the hell out of some teachers that will be using the menu bar when they access the website. Just wondering.

Andy will have the definitive answer to this, but I think not. The link is hard-coded in the system. The decision to place it where it is came from Milonic.

The reason its there is because some people could get around showing the link by making the menu extra long so it goes off the screen, thus side stepping the link. Or people could put a div to cover the end of the menu and thus the link as well. Being in the 2nd position, its tougher to hide since people usually have more than two links on the menu and covering it with a div would kinda make it look stupid. You gotta see where Milonic is coming from, ALOT of people have said to hell with the free license agreement and never put links up and took the menu for their own. Its a business descision. Thanks for understanding though. I see you see the quality in this menu and see its worth paying for. ;)

Will the proper code be sent through e-mail? I have a license number now, but I don't know how to remove the "Milonic Menu" button.

It has nothing to do with 'proper code', and will never come in an e-mail. Once you have your license number and have been registered in the Milonic database, the system will automatically recognize you and download the correct code for you (provided you sign in before you download).

...so re-download it from the website, and that should take care of it?

In the e-mail I received, it mentioned including the license number in the source code. Which file should I put it in?

Correct. Again, don't forget to log-in. That's the only way the system knows who you are.

There's a spot in all 3 of the main code files, up towards the top...

License Number: Un-Licensed

Just paste it over 'Un-Licensed'.

FYI - We are going to add license numbers to the downloads soon.

The problem is the people that have more than one license but we are working on it.

Great idea, I love it. How bout you just put in every license number the customer is associated with. Like "123456,634643,236563" that way you cover all your bases and you dont have to pick which one to put into what download. It would be a pain to ask the user each time they want to download which site/license do they need this one for, wouldnt it?

it wouldn't work for the few guys that have reseller licenses. All have at least 10 licenses, some have more.

I'll have a think about it, we can always use a radio style selection.

I still cannot get the current code. I have logged in, been recognized, and still only get the sample menu with the extra Milonic link.

I have been licensed since well before Milonic went to this new system of placing the extra link in the trial menu downloads.

I really would like to upgrade from RC6 to the latest version.

Thanks,

Free downloads are now back up for all users who have a license.

If one of the admins wants to post this as an announcements that might save me a job.

Thanks muchly
Andy.
