Can't get Version 5 to download

Post by leighbax »

When I click download Version 5, FlashGet starts, then stops without having downloaded the file. It is in the queue, but nothing will start it going!
Any ideas.
I have version 4 on my trial website, but am having problems with some browsers (mainly Opera)
I hope V 5 will sort it, but I can't get it

Hope someone can help.

What link are you clicking exactly? Are you logged in to the website when you click the link? If not, you won't be able to download the file.

Once you have successfully logged in, clicking on that logo should take you to http://milonic.com/download.php. At that point you need to click one of the download links in the middle of the page. The "Download Version 5 Here" graphic does not actually start the download for you.

That typically takes you to a second page containing two links: one for downloading the Horizontal Navbar example .zip format and the other for download the Horizontal Navbar example in .tar.gz format. I hate to ask the obvious, but did you click one of two those links to continue? I only ask because I have no problem downloading (tried it just now). I have no experience of FlashGet, so don't know if it might figure into the problem somehow.

Can't download vesrion 5

Post by leighbax »

Hi,
Yes it does take me to second page, and I clicked the top one with the zip format.
Then as I said FlashGet puts the download in the queue, but it won't start.
Maybe I should get rid of FlashGet?
Incidentally I have version 3 not 4 as I said in my first post.
My Trial website is at http://www.baxterlobs.demon.co.uk
As this is for a Yacht Club (not commercial) would I be entitled to free usage, or should I buy a licence, I am a bit confused by the choices

I think that's a good suggestion. Let us know what happens.

As for a free license, the final say is with Andy, but personally I don't see the yacht club as being a non-profit group. The cost is low and the quality can't be beat - buy it! :D

Hi,
I stopped Flashget from running, and the download then worked fine!
Thanks for prompt replies.
