Microsoft Java Virtual Machine

Post by jbull »

Hey all,

This isn't so much a problem as a concern. Some fellow in the IT department sent me this link:
http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/java/?gssnb=1

I'm not sure I completely understand, but it seems as if we have to transfer off the Microsoft Java Virtual Machine. Will this affect the milonic menu in any way?

Thanks,

Justin

I don't think it should make a difference, I think Mac's have been using all along :D

Unless of course, its been modified and going through some beta testing stage.

Hi Justin,

Java and JavaScript are two completely separate things. See this link for example, or this one, or even this one. It's unfortunate that they share the word "java" because it confuses people.

The Milonic Menu uses JavaScript, not Java. So, Microsoft's discontinued support for its Java Virtual Machine will have absolutely no effect on the Milonic Menu.

Hope that helps,

Kevin
