help ! 2 pop up menus with 2 gifs

hey everybody
i'm very new in programming and can't solve the following problem :
i have two different gifs in different places in my html page and want popup menu appear with on mouseover
i don't understand : the first gif is okay with the popup but when i click on the second the popup menu appear on the first gif !
could someone explain me what to do ?

Good answer John, was thinking the same, but since I'm almost psychic, maybe this will help in the styles.

overimage="/.../...gif";

or

subimage="/.../...gif";
onsubimage="/.../...gif";

make sure to get the paths correct.
