how can I generate menus dynamically using ASP?

Can someone point me in the direction of generating the menu items dynamically?

I have placed the following include  in the menu_data.js file but the app does not like this. How else can I structure the interaction between the menu_data.js file and the asp code that I need to pull the records from the database?

Can anyone point me to or provide some sample code?

Quite a few folks here have already done this. Use the Search function to find the threads.
