When on scroll bar, menu times out and closes in Netscape

I am using version 5.44 and everything works fine except that when you have a submenu with a scroll bar and you are scrolling up or down (vertical menu BTW) the menu will time out and close. This doesn't happen in IE. In IE, you could hold the mouse over the scroll bar all day and the menu will stay out.

I can't post an URl because it is an intranet but if you would like to see data files, please let me know and I can post some. It seems like it could be more of a Milonic thing rather than a menu code thing because it works 100% in IE, but you never know....

Is this happening with a Mozilla based browser? If it is, try downloading the very latest version of the menu, here is a workaround for a Mozilla bug that I'm told will be fixed for Mozilla 1.8

Hi Andy, I left that part out! Sorry! Yes, it is happening in Mozilla 1.7.1 and I have downloaded 5.44 and it didn't change.

Yes. I selected the Vertical Menu and resized my window to make sure there are scroll bars. When I hold the mouse over the scoll it disappears after about 1/2 second or so (menu delay I assume).

I have seen the same results using Netscape 7.2 on Windows 2000 and Mac OS X but it does not happen on every scrollable menu.

- The main menu has a scrollable dropdown (DHTML Menu/DHTML Menu Samples) that works fine with no problems.

- But the sample menu on this page has a dropdown (Menu Samples) that dissapears while trying to use the scrollbar.
