The Incredible Shrinking Menu

Post by cpriest »

http://216.22.14.142/page.header.php

If you constantly shrink and expand the width of the browse window the menu keeps shrinking 1 pixel at a time. This is with IE 6.0 xpsp2, don't know about other browsers.

Yes I realize that the page.header.php file is not a complete html file, it will work for rendering the problem.

Odd. Seems to me I have seen this before, but I don't recall the reason for it. Perhaps a search of the forum...

I do note that you have all of your menu code embedded in a table, which is not the recommended method. Could be part of the problem. See sample9 and the tablemenu page for discussions on the recommended method.

Cheers,

Hmm I've searched around a bit for this, couldn't find anything. Incidentely I did follow these directions when I initially setup this menu, the web pages indicate that while its touchy to do the menu like this, it does work if I follow the directions, which I've done.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

Maz: I don't have a mac so I can't use Safari to even see what the website looks like using that browser...

On another note does anyone know of a good cross-platform multi-browser-testing program or some similar?
