Images in menus causing problems

Post by tootricky »

I am currently using 5.64 (pre release I know) because like a few others I had script errors with 5.63. Those have been sorted out in 5.64, but a new small issue has arisen.

When you include images in your submenus and have scrolling overflow on the following happens (Mac Browsers only sorry...):

In Safari and Firefox:
onmouseover of the image the scroll bars resize (shrink) so a horizontal scroll bar shows as well as a vertical one. You need to scroll right to see the whole content of the menu.

In IE Explorer 5.2:
onmouseover of the image the vertical scroll bar alarmingly vanish completely (!), so any overflow is unattainable.

*edit*

Opera 7.5 = no probelms!

*edit*

These problems rectify themselves when the images are removed from the menu.

Hi,

Have you got a URL that we can see, it will help us immensely if you could provide a demo of this problem.

Cheers

Hi Andy,

http://www.harmonic-health.com/test.html to see the problem (look under Products), and any other page on the site to see the menu without the image and without the problem.

I jumped from version 5.07 to 5.62 and 5.07 did not have this problem if that helps.

Thanks

Richard

The problem happens in IE5.5 also. Just for information, if you just have image and not overimage, the problem does not occur.

Thanks Ruth,

But the problem didn't exist in version 5.07 so surely it is fixable no?

I'm sure Milonic is working on it.

Problem has now been solved and a fix is currently in the Pre Release - Hoping to get the final release out within a day or two.
