IE ActiveX Warning

Post by johnkench »

Dear All,

I am in the process of building a website for my Uni student rag and have found the milonic menu architecture very impressive so far.

However, I notice that when you access pages on milonic which have DHTML menus you get no ActivX warning in IE (You know, the 'IE has blocked Active Content that might harm your computer warning).
However, when I preview my self-build pages with the milonic menu intact I am always halted by the irritating activx blocker.

Will the blocker pop up when I host the site on the web? Will the blocker go away when I purchase the licensed version of milonic? How have milonic made sure their menus don't trigger the blocker?

Thanks for any help.

John,

That warning will only occur when you open the pages locally; e.g., from your hard disk. If served from a web server, the warning should not appear. So, visitors to your "Real" site will not see that annoying warning.

Cheers,

Kevin
