transition from a sub-menu with a fade out

I have seen in the demo menus a very cool effect that looks somewhat like a fade out when exiting a sub-menu. Can someone please tell me how to do this? I searched the files by the way. I suspect there is some sort of property that handles this which is where I will look next.

Yeah, I found it, sorry. It is the outfilter property, this command produces a nice effect:

outfilter='randomdissolve(duration=1.0)'

Can someone sugggest other neat effects?
