How can you view in other browsers?

Please note that official support for this menu version has now ceased. There are still plenty of users, though, and the forum is still running. Some of our long-time users may be able to help you out.

How can you view in other browsers?

Post by The Hat »

Q. Is there an easy way (web address) to view how my pages will look in other browsers without having to download the other browsers?

Thank you for the menu. It (horizontal-nav) is brilliant. I haven't got it up and running fully on the site yet, (a little more editing to do) but I have it working perfectly on a few test pages. It did take me a few days though of playing about, starting again, visiting the faq's, visiting the help & assistance pages and other people's sites to try to figure out how the hell to get it working.

Having seen the menus, and the answers given in here to problems, Andy & Co. appear as code-gods - how do they know all that stuff! I think the problem (and the reason they get so many faq's) is that what they consider to be simple, straight-forward code is - to most of us - like picking through hieroglyphics. They need to get a code-dummy in the office to simplify things for the masses.

Once again, thanks for the menu. It is the canine's testes. :D [/b]

The only real acurate way to test the menu on other browsers is to use other browsers. That's how we do it and we have almost any popular configuration running on the same machine using Acronis OS Selector from http://www.acronis.com/

Anyway, thanks for your support and kind words, we will be developing more products soon and hopefully get the documentation sorted.

Cheers

The reason I asked.

You'll probably have a good giggle, but I use Microsoft Word to edit my web pages (because I don't know any other way [downloaded ACE once, but couldn't get it working]).

On Word I cannot save or edit .js files.

To get the menu to work I have had to type the whole array in the body and call the mmenu.js at the end, on each page.

While it looks OK on my IE6, I thought it may not work so well on others.

Do I really have to download all the browsers?

I can let you have a look at what I've done, but not all the links are viable yet as I'm still editing.

Would it be OK if I copied and reduced your Milonic Logo gif for link purposes?
