polulating from mysql

Hello.

Im trying to get database with a few tables and a number of fields to get pulled out of mysql database into a menu i.e.

Table 1
- Field 1
- Field 2
- Field 3

Table 2
- Field 1
- Field 2

Table 3
- Field 1

etc. any pointers or linkies?
I will then need to link each of these hyperlinks to a query to display table1, field1 when clicked etc.
