Updating One's Menu With Each New Release

Please note that official support for this menu version has now ceased. There are still plenty of users, though, and the forum is still running. Some of our long-time users may be able to help you out.

Updating One's Menu With Each New Release

Post by menufurfer »

I use the frames version and have no complaints. Everything works well for me so far. But I have not upgraded with the times. I'm interested in how you out there [and in here at Milonic] do the upgrade. Do you download the upgrade and cut and paste your settings? Are there additional setting options in upgrades that don't exist in the previous versions so that a one-size-fits-all cut and paste would lose something etc.?

I'm trying to figure out here if one must manually change each setting. What other useful tips can you tell me about upgrading? Thanks. The menus are a gem.

If you are upgrading from version 3.2 onwards all you will need to do is upgrade the mmenu.js file

I have downloaded the frames (and non-frames) version of mmenu.js file. If I use it, it cancels out the submenus in the frames_body_array.js. They don't come up.

This leads me back to my original question as to whether I might also need to upgrade the frames_body_array.js file. I notice it works for your demo. This means some manual tweaking but I'll let you know if it makes a difference. /mfurf
