Table sub menu displays below main menu in firefox

Post by foxtrotcharlie »

I have a site using the menu in a table here: http://www.wre.co.za/news/

In IE it works well, but in firefox, if you scroll slightly down the page and then mouse over the menu, the sub menu appears lower down on the page, and separated from the main menu.

Any help would be appreciated

Hi

my first idea was, it could be missing body - margin settings. But they are well defined in your css file. Next thoughts are , could be different interpretation of css styles or css settings vs. styles settings in the menu-styles property definitions e.g. margin and border setttings.

Had not enough time to look into this

Hi

no, youre using offclass and onclass, so this idea too does not solve the problem.

next idea: differences due to filter set.
outfilter/overfilter,
they´re not at all interpreted by FF.

Hi

checked many different settings, could not trace it.
yes definitely, looks like a bug.

looks like, when scrolling, as if the distance between main and subs increases with the amount of scrolling.

Michael

Suggestion: You´re using a prof. license, report it to Milonic.
The menu is correct installed (table based). I don´t see any reason why it should not work correct.

Not sure I understand how that could cause the problem?

Thanks for your response Michael. But I don't understand how that could cause the problem? The issue is with the positioning of the menu in firefox, and not with the filter. Check out the screenshot I have over here:

Thanks,

Charles.

Hi

yes you´re right, just suggested (comments made)

Michael

PS:
Had your entire page in my Golive editor to controll syntax, Js-settings and styles. Seems to be ok, even the version of Milonic files etc. cannot trace something unusual.

Hi Charles,

its ok, I´m interested in anything around this, using it with prof. licenses as well as you do. And as I´m observing the same thing NOW ONLY on my "main page" - I guess it must be a bug.

If nobody looks after it, will make another main subject/issue of it.

Reporting to Milonic

Post by foxtrotcharlie »

Thanks again Michael. You suggested reporting it to Milonic. How do I go about doing that?

Cheers,

Charles.

Hi

I´m "renewing" this, as there are three reports on this issue, it seems
and it is not IE related, but FF

Please see reports above and

Hi,

This has been found as a bug and has been fixed for the next version of the menu.

The Pre Release is up to date.
