Can Milonic JavaScript menu be read by text-only browsers?

Post by nathaliev »

I heard that it is possible to make the menu readable by text-only browsers. Is this true and how is this done? I've just managed to make it accessible by keyboard-only users so my job would be complete if the menu could be read by text-only browsers so that blind people can access it.

Thanks in advance?

Hi,

In the download there is a folder with extras in it, one of those is a listbased menu. That will allow the menu to also be read by browsers with js turned off, because the list menu will show on the page.

I don't know much about reader type browsers so I have no idea if they read the menu or not, but they should read a list menu.

Thanks Ruth for that, sorry about the delay for replying but I only checked the forum today.

Is there an example page, that would be very useful!

Hi,

There is an example that is in the menu download. When you uncompress the menu, there will be an "Extras" folder. You will find the list menu in there with one example page.
