I have an odd problem; I'll try and describe it as simply as possible:
With the free evaluation (1000 licence version)
1. The menu works fine when viewing on the server
2. menu works fine when viewing on local network
3. menu works fine when viewing ssl on local network
4. menu does work external to local network
https://dragonnet.hkis.edu.hk/test2/
With the custom professional licenced version
1-3 same as above
However,
4. menu does NOT work when external
https://dragonnet.hkis.edu.hk/test4/
I think this might be something to do with the firewall - but what?
And why would it only affect the licenced version of the menu?
thanks for any help in advance!

problem with licenced but not unlicenced version of menu
Hi,
There seems to be something wrong with your program files, milonic_src.js, mmenudom.js, mmenuns4.js. I think it's the mmenudom.js file but I suggest you try uploading them again. I substituted my licensed files for yours and the menu works fine, that's why I think the files got corrupted. They need to be uploaded as ascii. Sometimes, when people upload they leave their settings as 'auto' and sometimes that doesn't always read the files to upload correctly and don't upload them as text.
1st try uploading them again. If that doesn't work, before you post back, try downloading your licensed copy again in case something happened in the download. Make sure you're logged in so you get your licensed copy, then upload that. If none of that works please post back so we can figure out what's going on.

tried encoding - didn't work
Ruth,
I am not uploading via FTP; coping directly on to the server via the local file system (network share). However, I did try and change the encoding to windows (it already way)
I also uploaded the files via FTP (in ascii) and its still not working...
I don't think its the encoding anyway because if it were wouldn't it not work in all circumstances?
Any other ideas?
Justin

yes i downloaded a new version.
Actually since this all started my system admin turned off SSL and the menu has started working; and so it must have been something due to that. The network situation I am in is farily unusual and complex and I suspect that it must have been something interacting with the SSL that caused the menu to break.
One thing I did think of
Does the menu code check to see if the domain it is being called from is the correct licenced domain? if so our reverse proxy may have rewritten the javascript file somehow and broken the file.
thanks for your help.
