Milonic class names

Post by pfulton »

Hello,

I am attempting to use two instances of the menu on my web site. Each will have its own styling, and each calls out to a CSS file to do this. I've been able to style 95% of the menus correctly, however, I'm running into problems with two classes: "milonic" and "milonictable".

"milonic" is defined in "milonic_src.js" and "milonictable" is defined in "mmenudom.js".

For the first instance of the menu, I'd like to set the "milonictable" padding to 0. This works well, but it affects the second instance of the menu where I don't want the padding set to 0.

I'd rather not post the URL of the site here, as it is a high traffic site and my company is trying to keep our redesign hidden.

However, I'll try to describe how the two menu instances are called.

The first menu instance is called in the traditional, suggested way - with calls out to the individual js files.

The second instance is also called as suggested when working with two menus on one page, but I've renamed the offclass, onclass and substyles to be unique so that I don't have a styles clash.

Both menus are still affected by the "milonic" and "milonictable" classes because they reference the same milonic_src.js and mmenudom.js files.

Is there something I can try to remedy this? Can I add two different class names to the js files so that I'll have unique settings for each menu?

Thanks in advance for your help. The whole Milonic system has been great to work with thus far.

This is going to be an 'Andy thing'. Ruth has already alerted him to your post.

Thanks!

It doesn't look horrible the way it's currently being displayed, but it would look better if I could control each menu's padding differently.

Hi,

If you have support can you please post the URL to http://milonic.com/support/ - this is a private system so nobody else will see the URL.

Once I can see something I should be able to advise on the best way forward.

Cheers,
Andy
