unexpected https security prompts using menu with frames?

Please note that official support for this menu version has now ceased. There are still plenty of users, though, and the forum is still running. Some of our long-time users may be able to help you out.

unexpected https security prompts using menu with frames?

Post by sam »

Has anyone used these menus in frames on a secured site using https and received a prompt "This page contains both secure and non-secure items" on initial load? If so, is there a way to get around the prompt?

We thought that while most of our menu links are relative urls, there are a couple normal http: links which we though caused the conflict. But when these http links are removed, we still get the prompt.

Are there tricks for using these menus under https protocol? Thanks

The menus are supposed to work with https as standard but I've noticed a bug that was causing the error.

I will post the fix later today Wednesday 7th August at around 4pm

The version you are looking for will be 3.5.02

Cheers.

I am having the same problem and I can't find the download for version 3.5.02. Am I looking in the wrong place or hasn't it been posted yet?

Andy,

I downloaded the code and replaced my old copy but I'm still getting the security message when I load the page. What else can I do to stop the security warnings? :(

Using:
Milonic DHTML Website Navigation Menu - Version 3.5.02

Thanks.

You need to copy the file blank.htm that came with the download to the root of your web site.

This will stop the security warnings from appearing as long as you are running version 3.5.02 or above.
