Hi,

I see the problem.

I was trying to see what version of the menu system you're running, but it seems that you may have changed the names of the files containing the base menu code. You should open the milonic_src.js file (whatever it's called on your site) to see what version you are running. There have been several changes over the summer months, including some modifications to page matching. The current release is 5.758. If you're running an older release, you might try updating to see if that fixes the issue (keep the release you're currently running as a backup). If that doesn't solve it, then we'll be back...

Cheers,

Kevin

Hi,

Yes, we found that, but, as Kevin noted, you need to update to the newest version. Whatever that issue is might have been fixed in a newer release.

hi,
its me again i just updated the menu today(pre-relaese 5_763) and have still the same problems everywhere. ill explain as good as i can:
domain where you can look at: http://www.diwa-optik.de
i renamed the menufiles following way:
tooltips.js == tooltips.js
milonic_src.js == menu.js
mmenuns4.js == ns4.js
mmenudom.js == dom.js

the first error is that the pagematch issue does not work properly within firefox 1.0.7 and mozilla mac (i can look the version later if you like). the patchmatch issue in the parent menu act not like expected from "alone" by the url it only wroks and stays after a mousover-(i hope you know and can see what i mean i can make detailed screenshots of not)

the second error is the tooltips feature i use it for form errors
example:
http://www.diwa-optik.de/kontaktformular.html it appears when form values are not filled correct. it works fine in ie but not in firefox here youll need two mouseovers for seeing the tooltips after the page has loaded. the js console gives the following error: _Tgm has no properties
file: http://www.diwa-optik.de/scripts/tooltips.js
line: 59

i hope you can help me with my problems thx in advance

later noice

Using FF2.0 I'm not seeing either of the errors you describe. Tooltips shows on the first pass over the !, which I'm guessing is the error (I submitted a blank form). Pagematch followed right along on all the pages I tried.

You realize, I'm sure, that FF1.0.7 is an extremely old release. I believe the last in the 1-series was 1.5.0.8. You might want to upgrade your browser. I no longer have 1.x loaded to try this.

Hi,

I don't know that this is fixable. FF1.0.7 is very outdated. The newest level is something around 1.5.8 and I think there's a some 2.0 out here, but not sure if that's beta or not. There were browser issues that FF fixed as it developed and in 1.5x the problems you are noting are not issues. In 1.5.07 The page highlighting and the form tooltips work correctly.

FF2.0 is final, Ruth, as is IE7 (as you probably know).

:lol: No way am I going to IE7. I understand once you have it you're stuck. Didn't realize FF was at that level. I'll get that since I can add it and keep the other. Thanks

John,

My version of Firefox is 1.5.0.8, and when I go to Help-->Check for Updates, it tells me that no updates are available. Do I have to do a fresh download? The good thing about FF is that you can have different versions of it loaded on the computer (I think).

With IE, you can't have more than one version running on it.

Ruth, much as it pains me to say this, IE7 is working pretty well. We've been testing it pretty hard here. Also, M$ has provided a way to go back to IE6 if you need/want to.

Viken,

The updater in the FF1.5 series does not roll up to 2.0. You have to go directly to http://mozilla.com/ and it will automatically show you the proper download for 2.0.
