Menu not showing in Opera 6.04

Please note that official support for this menu version has now ceased. There are still plenty of users, though, and the forum is still running. Some of our long-time users may be able to help you out.

Menu not showing in Opera 6.04

Post by codlord »

I am currently developing a web site for a company, the menu seems fine in IE and Netscape but in Opera (6.04) when I go to the page I can see the menu flash up on screen briefly but then disappears.

I have set 'show javascript errors' - but nothing is being reported.
I have tried re-loading the page etc.

I went to the Milonic homepage with the same browser and the menu worked fine so it is obviously something I have done (or not done).

Anyone got any ideas? The development site is currently here:

I see you have solved your problem? Could you post how you fixed it? I've had some similar problems and so am curious. E.g., I found Opera 5 and 6 (through 6.03) do not like mmenu if the body has an onload handler.

I can't actually remember exactly but it was something to do with the color or background color of the body tag - when I changed the tag settings it seemed to work o.k.

I have not tested on older versions of Opera so I suspect it may not work becuase my body does have an onload handler.

Where have you got your references to the menu javascript? Have you tried inside the body and outside the body?
