OK, we use a milonic menu on the home page of a customer's website. There's sporadic complaint that the menu is too eager to show the submenus beneath each item, thereby obscuring the content normally below the menu.
We currently have the default settings for the following:
_menuCloseDelay=500 // The time delay for menus to remain visible on mouse out
_menuOpenDelay=150 // The time delay before menus open on mouse over
By my reading of the documentation, modifying these values should give use desired behaviour, i.e. a pause before submenus shown if the mouse is over the menu (?)
On the development instance, I've whacked these up to absurd values (7500, 5000) but it doesn't seem to make a whole load of difference. Moreover, I notice in Firefox (2.0.0.6) the submenus show immediately.
Is there some aspect I'm missing here? We'd also like the ability to have a slight delay between showing one submenu and its sibling - is that possible?
We're using Milonic v5.771

Menu speeds
Re: Menu speeds
First you need to upgrade to v5.779, as the most current version is required for help on the forum.
Also, a URL would really be helpful.

OK
I'll give the upgrade a go.
As for a URL, pretty tricky since the one I'm developing is behind the firewall. However, the current menu with original speeds is at http://www.essexcc.gov.uk
