messing with alignment

Post by jeharris56 »

Hello All:
I've got a menu embedded in table cell. The content of the cell to the right of the menu does not properly align. It seems that the menu "pushes" the content to the right. If I remove the menu, everything aligns properly. How do I get the menu to stop messing with the content in the other cell?

Hi,

Please give us a url so we can see what's happening, and specify browser, resolution and OS. We can't really tell what might be causing this without the page.

Ruth,

Here's a test page:
http://www.msfac.org/testindex.shtml

I'm testing on my Mac. The alignment problem happens with every browser I try: Safari, Firefox, Explorer. The Menu seems to magnetically push adjacent cell contents to the right.

Thanks,
Joe

It took me 30 hours of banging my head, but I finally figured out the problem. I need to specify the width for the cell containing the menu. Duh.

Hi,

Thanks for posting the solution. I'm sorry I didn't get back, but I've been gone for Thanksgiving.....
