IE Progress Bar (The one at the bottom)
IE Progress Bar (The one at the bottom)
I have just had a bug in from my users regarding the progress bar & flag which appear at the bottom of the screen in IE when you press the submit button. What happens is when the users press submit the progress bar starts to show something is happening however if the user scrolls the current page up or down using the scroll bar or mouse-wheel the loading bar acts as if it has completed its action (goes to full then disappears) and the flag stops moving, however, the action still completes in the background. When we remove the milonic menu and repeat this action the progress bar continues to load and does not disappear when the scroll bar is touched. Is there any work round for this as to the users it appears as if the action has been cancelled when it has not.
Hi,
From the lack of response I'd have to guess that it's a somewhat rare circumstance. I've not seen it before, and I've seen a lot of sites using Milonic Menus!
Rather than us trying to reproduce the issue (which is often just an exercise in frustration itself), are you able to post a url that will take us to your page that exhibits the problem? If it's an intranet, can you reproduce the problem in a publicly accessible place? If we can see the exact problem, it's much easier to work on a solution.

It seems like we have this problem too and it is affected by moving over the menu which can make the progress bar go to 100%
Did you find a solution to this?

Hi,
No, since we never got a site url so we could see what's happening. If you're having the issue, can you give us a url so we can see it and test?

Is there any solution found to this problem ? We are facing this issue in our application too. It is not hosted on the internet and hence I wouldnt be able to share the URL.
Was just wondering if this problem is anyway related to onmouseout event or something like that ?

Re: IE Progress Bar (The one at the bottom)
Is this just when you mouse over the menu or when you click a menu item?

Re: IE Progress Bar (The one at the bottom)
This behaviour is observed when we click on an item in the menu and then move the mouse away from it. The progress bar seems fine if we click on the menu item and do NOT move the cursor away from it. We are using IE6, I am not sure if its a bug with IE itself

Re: IE Progress Bar (The one at the bottom)
however it is a late reply...but I have just fixed this problem while tweaking the CSS a bit...it was just that we had to remove the class attribute used as 'visited' & 'active' which created a confusion for browser when user moved the mouse after the click.
Hope this helps *!*b
