Convert submenu to main menu

Well, thanks for the another thread, but I solved it using two rows for my menu, in case that increase its size too much.

Now, I have another question. It is possible to extract one of the submenus and convert it to the main menu? This is because I want to hide the main menu when an element is clicked and convert the submenu of that element into the main menu, is that possible?

I have posted to Milonic for help on this. I think it is possible. Probably you could do it with the module called menueditapi. It is in the download. Also, I know people set it up using functions so that certain items are not visible unless the person has a particular status, so I would think you could do it with a submenu. I'll have to wait for a response from Milonic because this is beyond my knowlegde.
