Menu Positioning Issue

Post by sandramichelle »

I hope someone can help me!

I'm using a template I purchased to create a site. I want to use the horizontal style menu, and so far, I've started by putting in the sample menu that came with the download. I plan on editing this once I have the menu in the correct place.

What I want is to center the menu in a table cell and I do not want the menu to move. I'd like to be able to resize the page width and have it remain stationary. I followed the instructions located here:

http://milonic.com/tablemenu.php

What is happening is this:

As you can see, the menu is not centered. It does stay in one place, but I'd like it to appear in the center of the dark gray area, above the image of the man. I'm sure this has to do with the table positioning, but I cannot get it to show up properly in Dreamweaver and was hoping someone might be able to help me adjust the attributes. I'm a beginner and am not entirely sure what I'm doing.

Thanks in advance!

I wanted to add...
When I replace the orientation command "horizontal" with "relative" the menu turns into a vertical styled menu.

Can I keep it horizontal and also keep it aligned on the page the way I want it?

Okay, I figured that out... but when I properly position the table/menu, now this happens:

any clues? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

You'll need to say what "this" is. Perhaps whatever it is doesn't happen for others. Also, which browser shows the problem
