PINK HOME FIELD - Copyright protection, ... or a BUG?

Please note that official support for this menu version has now ceased. There are still plenty of users, though, and the forum is still running. Some of our long-time users may be able to help you out.

PINK HOME FIELD - Copyright protection, ... or a BUG?

Post by plasticy »

I downloaded the MENU from dynamicdrive.com last night. Tested it. Loved it. Purchased the license this morning and started a simple process of reconfiguring the links. Unfortunately, every attempt to replace the HOME link with my own url causes the HOME field to change the color into ...pink... Very much like in the menu on your home page. Am I doing something wrong, or is it just your way to protect yourself from piracy (in which case should I download a new version directly from your site)?

Without being able to see your code there's not much help we can offer. However, Andy does not have any copy protection on his product. It's strictly the honor system here, and we appreciate folks like you who abide by it.

I would suggest that you always get your code from this site. We have seen a number of instances in the past where other sites are pretty far down level. The current version is 3.5.15 (with V4 in beta and coming along very nicely), which you can get from http://www.milonic.co.uk/menu/download.php.

current page item colour

Are you sure its not just the current page item color and current page background color?

Once you change the home button to your own URL, the menu will spot that the current page is the same url as the menu item and apply those colors specifically assigned to the current page.

See the following two lines in the download:

"Purple", // Current Page Item Font Color (leave this blank to disable)
"pink", // Current Page Item Background Color (leave this blank to disable)
