Hi,

I am not aware of any conversion utility, nor of any plans to make one. You'll have to rewrite your menu definitions, but it shouldn't be too difficult.

I just had both JS files open in Notepad and just copies and pasted all my text and links.

A tad more explanation for sippen, if you don't mind, Andy.

I'm assuming he's going from v3 to v5, since he specifically mentioned v3 in use and his post is in the v5 section (however, a possibly rash assumption, I admit  ).

Anyway, given the structure of the arrays is completely different between the 2 versions there's more involved. The copy/paste Andy mentioned is strictly for text (menu and/or status) and URLs. However, these have to be woven into the new array structure, not simply plopped in as a whole structure. How time-consuming (not difficult) it will be depends entirely on the size and complexity of your current menu structure.

Bottom line - do it, regardless. v5 is where it's at, with no more development expected on v3. Don't get left behind (which you already are, sippen, given 3.5.15 is current in the v3 series).

Just to let you guys know. A coverter has been built that will accompany the new website.

I would have liked to have got the new website ready for testing today but it turns out that the new menu needed some tweaking, had some problems with IE on the Mac, nearly there though.

The light at the end of the tunnel is getting nearer.
