Format in horizontal_data.js files

Post by jaf »

I just downloaded version 5. Unlike previous versions that I have worked with the properties are not easy to read inside the javascript file. In previous versions each property was on a seperate line. What am I doing wrong?

Regards

Nothing. For some reason the text doesn't come out right in Notepad.

What you have to do is open the document in a wordprocessor, such as StarOffice or MS Office. It will then perform a conversion.

Then, just re-save it as a plain TXT file. You will need to rename it back to JS but you will find the formatting is ok.

If you are considering doing more coding down the line, I highly suggest investing in a good code editor. I personally have dreamweaver, and I absolutely love it. But there are plenty of free ones out there that you should definetly start using because Word and Notepad are not going to cut it if you plan to do this more often. Try download.com, webattack.com, http://www.gnomedownloads, etc.
