Andy,
You may have heard about some of the really rather nasty problems going on with the PayPal service, perhaps the most visible of which is the class-action lawsuit filed back in February. A recent discussion about similar bad experiences on a programmers' listserv I belong to brought this back to mind, and I'm in the process of cancelling my account with them... its just too risky given their customer service record.
So how do I pay you for support contracts in future? Any chance of a mail box getting listed somewhere on your site?

Re: PayPal problems
Funny you should mention that.
Milonic is currently going through some major changes, one of which is the setting up of some proper e-trading facilities.
This includes the ability to send checks (or cheques) in any currency to our snail mail address.
Milonic Solutions Limited

We are also in the process of getting our own Merchant account so that we can take credit cards via Barclays Bank in the UK. Barclays Bank carry quite a lot of weight here in England (in fact worldwide) and the last thing they want is news that their credit card system is insecure so they try very very hard to keep it secure and I believe they are one of the best in this field.
There are also some changes to the way we license the menu. Too many people are taking advantage of our FREE menu by using it on their commercial site without links back to us. They even remove the copyright notices and then they have the darn nerve to ask for tech support.
So needless to say, things are going to have to change. I'll let you know when I've decided what I'm going to do.
Cheers

Glad to hear it and sorry to hear it in that order. Seemingly universal constants: greed and stupidity.

Why is it that the folks who are out there to do nothing but provide a good product and support (e.g., you) are always the ones who get screwed by those who seem to shout the loudest when they don't get served? It's not like you're asking the world. I think Matt hit it when he said, "...greed and stupidity".
As for PayPal, I'm pulling my links from there as well. Don't need a full-blown merchant account so will probably just go with Clickbank.
Whatever you do you have my support...

Re: PayPal problems
John,
I'm in the same boat - low-level needs not worth a full merchant/gateway setup - and I use 2checkout.com. I checked on clickbank (always looking for a better deal
) and they're a fair bit higher priced.
I use them both for individual sales and recurring ones (web hosting fees). Fees are quite a bit less than the ones clickbank wants, and service has been great. If you can live with bouncing a customer to their order form and back this is a good option.

Took a quick look. A little cheaper, yes, but also a little more involved and less (or no) control over what the purchase pages look like. I sell mostly classified ads for my newsletter and a few e-books. Customer clicks the link, goes to a single quick payment page, and then is brought right back to my site (and design) where he enters his ad info. Small point, perhaps, but I want my look and feel as much as possible.
Thanks anyway.

I didn't look deep enough to see how those guys handled look/feel, which is an issue I'd like to improve as well. I'll take a closer look at them as their rates weren't all *that* bad, considering some of the alternatives out there.
Cheers,
