Transparent or see through boxes

Transparent or see through boxes

From all the examples on this site all the Horizontal Menus have drop downs that use the colored see through boxes (i.e. the text behind them is visible and could be distracting), Although in the Live Uses section Code Charge made it so the drop downs were not transparent. I am using 3.x since that is what I downloaded... Is that an easy setting?
