Netscape 4.79 for MAC loads MILONIC Homepage over and over

Post by tonnebaer »

My Netscape 4.79 on a MAC OS 9.2 doesn't stop to reload the Milonic Homepage. As soon as the page is loaded the browser automaticly starts all over again. Is this a bug in Milonic Homepage's code or is the DHTML Menu 5 responsible for this behaviour. The older Menu versions did not cause this problem.

Thankfull for any help,

I would make sure I had the latest js update for your OS, its easiest to locate from apple.com
Then double check your code if thats not it.

MAC OS is 9.2.2 the latest version

Hi maz,

my MAC has the latest update. Other installed browsers
(IE 5.1.7 and NS 7.1) work fine. It seems to be a problem caused by
NS 4.x. I think I'll bury that browser finaly.

Thanks,
tonnebaer ;)

I wish everyone had that mentality. Move on in life...get the lastest and greatest when ya can. Browsers are free and easy to upgrade, I dont see why more people dont have the newest versions. Ah well...the life of a webmaster.

I have a constant problem here on what should and should not be supported. 4.79 is one of those "they" say should, and I disagree. Get with the program. It's junk, doesn't support many current standards, and is a bear to write for just to make the simplest stuff work right.

Move on (and up), folks.
