A long due update.. questions!

Post by Avenir »

Hey everyone. So, it occurred to me that there is probably like 17 updates since I last downloaded a copy of the menu, and... I was right. But now, I'm a little confused... I still have it that I needed to upload 2 files to my server, menu_array and mmenu, and menu_array, was the one that was edited.

So, now there are four files... which one is it that I'm supposed to edit, and do I have to do anything to the other ones? (I couldn't find this stuff in the FAQs, but I apologize if its somewhere and I missed it!)

Thanks a bunch!

There are now three critical files required for the menus to operate that you should not touch:

milonic_src.js
mmenudom.js
mmenus4.js

the file you edit can be called whatever you want it to be--it just has to be included before the others.

See the examples on the site for syntax of the new menus--you'll have to redo all of your menus, but the new syntax is very easy to use, and much, much, much friendlier.

The v5 download now includes complete docs for the install (you did read them, yes?), in addition to the menu parameters being explained over on the main web site.

Daniel is correct - don't mess with anything except your data file(s).
