Bug on website, sample number 10

Post by fredlongworthhighschool »

Just cycling through the menu samples when I came across a problem with sample 10.

I entered a value of 30 and clicked 'update' and then began to scroll down the screen. When I get almost halfway an empty JS window appears and continues to do so until I move back up again.

Using XP Pro, IE6.

Cute! Seems to pop that box (nothing in it except OK) as soon as the menu scrolls into view. Takes 4 or 5 OKs to get rid of it. After each OK the menu jumps about 5px.

Good catch, Andy. Thanks (of course, the boss is probably grumbling...).

Guess alittle debugging code made it into the release. Looks like hes checking values of the menus position in relation to the settings and using the popup on every increment. Yeah, good catch. Cant test for everything so its great having a bunch of people climbing all over the code to try and break it, hehe. If you'll notice, it happens with ANY value...change it back to one and scroll down the page, it still happens. Eh, funny.

I once did that with Opera. Everytime the menu loaded in Opera a popup box came up and said 'Boo!'

It was ages until somebody told me about it
