Differences in 3.4 to 5?

Post by kelemvor »

Maybe I just missed it on the website or in the forums but I'm looking for something that describes what the changes, features, new functionality there are in the new version. Other than it's physically formatted differently, what do I get feature-wise that I don't have now with 3.4? 3.4 seems to be working just fine but just wondering if i should bother upgrading.

Thanks.

The menu is smaller, faster, downloads quicker, is easier to create menus for, supports more styles and features in those styles, CSS can be applied, javascript functions are better supported, scrollable menus, followscroll is improved, has a couple added functions to make it easier to plug into a database, has scriptlets coming out all the time allowed for dynamic tweaking of menu features at runtime, awesome support, and did I Mention its easier to make menus, no more comma counting, its property-name based. Overall it works better, feels better, is supported by more browsers, runs faster, and downloads quicker, I think I am repeating myself. Download it and try it, you tell us if you like it more.

Also, version 3 doesn't work in Opera 7 or Safari.

Neither is version 3 supported anymore, and version 5 has been tested to be at least twice as fast as version 3.
