broken images on FreeFind page - SOLVED

I use FreeFind.com to provide intra-website search on all my clients websites.

FreeFind allows one to have a custom search results page. However, there are a few rules associated with this custom page:
1. no external links to JavaScript
2. no relative links

I have been using both FreeFind and the Milonic menu successfully together on many websites.

Now, I have a problem.

Surf to http://www.sensage.com and go to any page and you will see the menu successfully working. With one exception! If you enter a search term (upper right of page), the resulting page from FreeFind displays no menu buttons until you mouse over them. And the sub-menu arrow never works.

I constructed the FreeFind template by copying all the Milonic code into the page and changing all the links from relative to absolute.

I am baffled as to why this does not work as all my other sites do.

Any suggestions?

OK, couple things I find confusing...

Why, on the search results page, have you plopped the hard menu code in rather than using a call? I see their 'rules', but have you tried a call?

I suspect you don't have a license for the freefind domain. Left field here, but try putting the standard Milonic link on those pages.

Your implementation of code in the td is not as recommended. See http://milonic.com/tablemenu.php. I know - probably bump into their 'rules' again.

And the most important thing - the search box is in the upper right of the page, not the upper left...

Other than that, Andy may have to take a gander at this. I'll alert him.

1. I replaced the inline code with a call and got this error message:

Error: template uses a JavaScript include
Search templates must be self-contained and may not include external code. Please check your template
and try again.

2. You are correct that I don't have a license for the FreeFind site. I did not realize that I needed one. I have a license for the SenSage website.

3. I don't understand what you mean by "putting the standard Milonic link on those pages".

4. I read about the implementation of the Milonic Menu inside a table cell. I don't understand why that method is better. And, the menu works on every page except the FreeFind search results page.

5. You are correct. upper right.

Am I only allowed to ask questions if I ask them frequently? I only ask for help when I need and that is not often as the Milonic Menu works perfectly for me 99+% of the time. I guess that buying 11 licenses in the last 6 months does not entitle me to ask questions.

Those were just some left-field thoughts.

I'm not saying you need a license for freefind. That would be up to Andy, as it is a different domain.

Actually, I don't use the recommended td implementation, either, but again - just a thought.

I'm having the same problem here with a Flash form - works fine on one site, but not on another on the same server.

I thought with the icons used you would understand I was just pulling your leg. Of course I'm glad the menu has been working for you, and it goes without saying we're certainly happy to have you as a good customer. My apologies for any offense - none intended.

Dave,

I've just downloaded a copy of your site and upgraded the menu - and it seems to be OK with the upgrade.

Can you please try this and then let us know if it still plays up.

Oh BTW - this was with the Pre Release but should be OK with the stable version.
