I've just upgraded to the newest version to get rid of the relative positioning issues in IE6. Now I have a different problem (less important but still a problem).
if I click a menu option and then move the mouse quickly over the menu I can cause IE (6 and 7) to crash with :
Internet explorer cannot open the site XXXXXXX. Operation Aborted
There is a topic which lists this sort of issue, and they seem to have fixed it with a zindex on a div... no idea what that means so any help appreciated.
The other topic is here:
viewtopic. ... fast+abort
Problem site is http://www.theonlinegardener.com click on the books menu item and wiggle your mouse about quickly as the page loads... usually happens 1 in 3 times.

I forgot one thing. I noted in that other post that the person said if they put in buildAfterLoad=false; that problem didn't occur. Well, leaving out buildAfterLoad=true; is more or less the same as setting it to false, so perhaps if you used Method Two for placing the menu in a table/div that would solve the problem

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately going to method 2 is a load of work. Our site has variable menus by postcode (so that you can only select stock available in your region), this means I have had to write a menu generator to generate lots of different menu_data.js files and the site then dymanically picks the right one. To split this into 2 dynamic files is a big job as the generation routine is quite complicated (and fragile!).
